JUD HAWK
A highly respected hospitality industry veteran, Jud Hawk has dedicated his career to delivering exceptional service, operational expertise, and results-driven leadership. His passion for hospitality began more than four decades ago, with ground-up service roles in restaurants and hotels. His strong work ethic and his drive to fluently understand all aspects of hospitality set the foundation for his enduring commitment to the service of guests, teams, and stakeholders of luxury hotels and resorts.
In 1986, Jud joined the fledgling Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company at The Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta, where the company was founded. It marked the beginning of a 20-year tenure with the company, as the global growth of the brand ultimately enabled him to join the pre-opening teams of 12 Ritz-Carlton Hotels & Resorts around the world, and serve as an executive committee member at eight 8 properties throughout the U.S.
Jud has a reputation for developing service-driven individuals and teams whose shared mission is to deliver distinctive experiences for the discerning traveler. His heart for service remains unchanged by any role he has held – doing whatever it takes to make a positive difference; whether to make beds, carry luggage, drive a shuttle, plate meals, or be of service to anyone from vacationing guests to the world leaders attending a conference.
His extensive experience is notably distinguished by his service as General Manager for the signature resort property of the non-profit The Aspen Institute, The Aspen Meadows. In this capacity, Jud broadened his capability in leading prestigious conference services including the world-renowned Aspen Ideas Festival, Spotlight Health, and Security Forum.
Throughout his career, Jud has held progressively increased responsibilities in all operating departments of the hotel and service industry, including the management of many large-scale renovation projects from comprehensive reception center redevelopment, to interior guest room remodels and the rebranding of food and beverage outlets, to post-construction cleaning. As a resort hotel operator, Jud values corporate citizenship. He prioritizes community engagement and values authentic connections, effective communications, and positive public relations.
